LIFE: Messy-Unpredictable

Clean up on isle two please…

If you spend much time with small children you will quickly notice (at least) two things: (1) they’re messy and (2) very unpredictable.

As a parent, you know this better than most!

I see you there in the supermarket momma –frustrated, totally convinced ‘your’ dream child was switched at birth and is now sleeping like an angel in some other momma’s lap.

Because this messy, unpredictable one rolling around in the supermarket isle, having a complete and total meltdown can’t possible be from you. I see your weariness. Messy!

I also see your heart melt, when this hissy fit is interrupted by the lifting up of tiny hands and little eyes toward you; and a sweet, but sweaty head buries into your chest and arms cling tight. Unpredictable!

Toddlers are the perfect living illustration of life!

Life is messy, unpredictable, and offers us front row seating, for a ride on the never ending emotional roller-coaster!

Friends, when you find yourself with whiplash, from your personal roller-coaster ride through the messy and unpredictable, in the week ahead… don’t throw a fit!

Instead, simply lift up your eyes, hearts, and hands toward heaven and cling tightly to your heavenly Father –and rest your weary head awhile. Then rise up and do it again with His wisdom and through His strength!

Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one and calls forth each of them by name. Because of his great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing.

[…] Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. ~Isaiah 26, 28-31

Blessings y'all ~God's got this!
